The entrance to these tombs and crypts is found in the main park at the heart of Saint Denis, close to the cathedral, underneath which many of the tombs are to be found. However the crypt and tombs spread for quite some distance under Saint Denis. The underground places of rest are most famous for containing a great many of the kings’ of France’s bodies. There are also many other nobles and dignitaries in these interesting and fascinating tombs, which are open to the public.
