Situated slightly to the east of the town centre are the sand dunes that run along the coast and make for a tremendous sight as you drive along the coastline. These dunes have for many generations been a popular place of rest and relaxation for the local people and increasingly with the large tourist populous in the area. Hidden away beneath the golden sands you can enjoy a day by the sea in relative peace and quiet, watching the tide come in.
