This museum is one of the many that are located at the heart of Troyes, the largest city in the Champagne region. The collection is focussed heavily on the tools that are used in producing textiles and knitwear. There are also a huge amount of examples of knitwear that have been produced in the local area over a period of several hundreds. The area has been closely linked with the textiles industry for many centuries and the crafts are closely linked to the social development of the area.
