This museum is housed in a beautiful merchant’s house that was constructed around 1510. It is one of the more impressive Italian style Renaissance facades in the town and is a popular visitor attraction as a piece of architecture. Within the building is a good sized museum of archaeology ranging from the pre-historic to the 18th Century. Samples have been collected from across the world and categorised by period in this fine collection.
