This museum is housed in what was one time the bishop’s palace in Troyes, and therefore as you might expect, is quite a grand building. The brilliant collection is one of the best of modern art in the region. There are many fine pieces in the permanent collection which cross abroad spectrum of disciplines from the ceramics and glassworks to the more traditional paintings. There are a huge number of famous artists represented there including Matisse and Picasso.
