One of the highest points in the area, Mont Faron towers above the naval port of Toulon. It is possible to access the summit by several different means, including a cable car from the town and there are many walking tracks and roads that run yup the side of the mountain. At the summit is a memorial to the Allied forces that died during the Second World War. From the foot of the monument are some of the best views of the town and the surrounding seascape.
