The Hotel de Mauroy is one of the finer 16th Century buildings in Troyes and is home to this fascinating museum. The enormous collection of artefacts and tools from the past thousand years is designed to help tell the story of the century old traditions. The museum is run by the French National Arts Guild and therefore there are often public displays and exhibitions of tools in action, and the interactive seminars designed to get more people practising these dying art forms.
