This building stands at the heart of the St. Ettenne area of the city, and is surrounded by a large collection of antiques shops and other interesting stores. The building was first started in 1863, and was constructed as a palace for the well know government war minister Auguste Niel to live in. The building is a striking structure made of yellow bricks on the front, which make it one of the more recognizable and beautiful in the area.
