The local church is one of the very central iconic symbols of this little fortified town. The great tower of the church can be seen from miles away in every direction, and is the first thing people would have seen in days gone by, when crossing the horizon. The church is famed for being home to an extensive and eclectic set of stained glass which bathes the interior of the structure with coloured light in the daytime.
