This old square is one of the most ancient open areas at the heart of Quimper old town. It was first set out many hundreds of years ago and has been a place of trading and meeting ever since. It remains a popular tourist attraction because it is home to some of the best preserved examples of old Breton housing in the city. There are a good selection of traditional bars, cafes and restaurants in the area and many street entertainers in the summer months, making this a must visit location.
