Place Jean Jaurès has for many generations been one of the most important squares in the community of Tours. Most French towns and cities have at least one place that evolves into the centre of community affairs, attracting traders, visitors and locals, making a vibrant hub to the town. In the case of Tours, this is that place, filled with bars and restaurants and throughout the warmer months a place where street entertainers and artists gather.
