The Pont Saint Francois is the oldest bridge in the area and would have one point have been the only way of crossing the River Jaudy into the town. Although today, this doesn’t sound very significant, in the middle ages the threat of attack was high and therefore one point that was easily defendable was essential. The bridge is a good place to get a nice photograph of the old town, and is often frequented by local people and visitors.
