The town church was built about five hundred years ago, and whilst the rest of the community has continued to evolve and develop, it has stayed almost exactly the same. Of course there have been several overhauls and refurbishments in that time, but the middle ages are still alive in the fantastic stonework both inside and out that make this one of the icons that people recognise about this community, a church that stands out above the rest.
