Saint Etienne Church is far never than the ancient Saint Pierre and Saint Paul on the whole, as the majority of the building that one can see today was added in the 18th Century. However, the central tower is thought to be as old as 12th Century and the rest of the fine structure has been built around it. A great deal of care was taken in the construction to try and match the two styles, and although you can see the differences, it lends a certain something to the charm of the building.
