Situated down by the banks of the river, the town chateau has been an important part of the community in Tours for many centuries. This building is not one of the most inspiring chateaus in France, but has a simple charm to it. Once the home to the dignitaries of the town, it contains some rather grand interior rooms which are open to the public. There are a series of guided tour options available in a selection of languages throughout the summer months.
