The Town Hall is one of the most recognisable and iconic sights in the heart of Rennes. For many generations, the large stone building has cast a shadow across the major square of Place de la Mairie. The building remains a working set of offices and the home of the regional council. However, much of the hall is opened up from time to time in order for exhibitions and displays to take place. The facility is truly one of the pillars of community life in the city.
