Reims has for many centuries been one of the most prosperous communities in the area, mainly because of the instrumental role it has played in developing and marketing the Champagne brand around the world. The Town Hall is an imposing and grand building that was constructed to reflect the affluence and importance of the city. Grand facades look out over the old town streets. Throughout the year the hall opens certain sections to the public for exhibitions.
