The Traditional Music Association is an organisation that was specifically set up in order to protect the local music of the region, and to promote it to a new audience as times change. The centre has a few small galleries which feature displays of ancient instruments, many of which most visitors would never have heard before, or seen played. The centre attempts to host as many concerts as possible for the public where these instruments are played and utilised to their full potential.
