One of several great theatres in this beautiful town, it was one of the earliest settlements by the Romans in the area. This theatre is located close to the area where there was a ancient theatre. Of course the Romans were extremely keen on productions of plays and this tradition has been continued by this well run theatre, performing a collection of ancient and more modern works throughout the year. The theatre is a popular cultural and social meeting place.
