In the last hundred or so years, this area of France has become a hotbed for excavation work. People and scientists have travelled from across the world to get involved in the extensive digs that have gone on in the town of Vienne and surrounding areas. Clues to how people have lived for thousands of years have been fund, pieced together through the artefacts that have been collected. This museum displays a great many of these fine collections.
