The Palace of the Bishop’s is one of the largest and most imposing structures in the town, nestled next to the main cathedral building. It was the home of the Bishop’s of the town until they were abolished and the power was given to Nimes in the 20th Century. The building has since then served as a prison and a barracks for the military. On one side of the palace is a small museum that houses a series of artefacts that relate to the history of the town.
