The town is built on top of some of the most extensive Roman ruins in this area of France and still there are more and more interesting excavations being made. The majority of the ruins are surrounding the main Avenue Général de Gaulle in the northern centre of the community. Visitors are welcome to visit the site and which is filled with houses and even a theatre. There are many perfectly preserved mosaics on display in this strange town that time forgot.
