Gatine Forest is a beautiful green area that is situated to the west of this town, and is one of the largest areas of woodland in the region. The forest is filled with interesting and rare examples of plants and trees that have been allowed to grow by the relative tranquillity of the forest floor. In turn a great many beautiful animals and birds have made their habitats in the forest, and all this can be observed from an afternoon stroll through the forest.
