The Grand Gardens are built just outside of the old city walls and are one of the most spectacular natural sites in the community. A great deal of effort has gone into making the gardens a place of interest and beauty not only to tourists but to the people who live in the town. The gardens contain some of the best looking plants and trees that the region has to offer and are well arranged to maintain colour and fragrance throughout the seasons.
