Built in the middle ages, the Castle in the centre of the town is one of the most recognisable and beautiful monuments that you will see in the area. The castle has been modified on many occasions since its first construction and many of the impressive turrets that loom high above visitors were added in the 14th Century. Tours are offered in English around the castle, which Francis 1st ruled France from for three weeks on one visit, a fact that local people are proud of.
