This park is one of the most beautiful public green areas in the town, and situated close to most of the major attractions. It was laid out on the orders of Napoleon in 1812 and has a great covered promenade running through the centre, which was added in the early 20th Century. The wonderful landscaping of the park creates a pastoral feel for visitors, a true oasis of natural beauty at the heart of the busy town in Massif Central.
