The gardens of the palace are so diverse and vast; it isn’t possible to sum them up as one unit. King Louis XIV was very clear when he had the mammoth project undertaken that he would settle for nothing except the finest house and gardens in France. This area of the garden, closes to the palace has been landscaped in a traditional French style, each walkway lined with trees, flowerbeds and hedges, perfectly manicured.
