The Rue du Marche interestingly has only developed into the main commercial street in the village in the last hundred years or so. Before that time there was no trading that took place in this area whatsoever, and the street was entirely residential. Today, the street is filled with bustling shops and market stalls which are the best place to get hold of fresh produce from across the region, and meet the local people going about their daily business.
