There has been a chapel on this site for well over four hundred years, but the amazing dome of Saint Bernadette Chapel is thought to have been created in the early 18th Century. Although the chapel is no longer a working place of worship, and has in fact been turned into a refuge for elderly people, the phenomenal piece of architecture remains. It towers above much of the old city and is a great landmark in the old town.
