The Wars of Religion destroyed the older church that once stood on this site. The current church was built in 1767 and forms one of the most impressive pieces of ecclesiastical architecture in the local area. The Renaissance facade is just one of the many impressive features on this church which is built in the Jesuit style of a Greek cross. The interior is equally splendid and is worth a look if you are passing by and have an interest in local architecture.
