Situated at the centre of the old town, Saint Michael’s Church has been classified as an historic monument of note since 1990. The original structure was built in the 14th Century, although the majority of what one can see today is as a result of a complete rebuild of the church in the early 18th Century. Within the church are some amazing examples of artwork including a large painting of Saint Michael and a fine statue of Christ.
