Situated to the north-east of the Place aux Herbes is this beautiful privately owned chateau. Built in medieval times it has for many centuries been one of the most dominant pieces of architecture in the community, looming above the smaller residential properties that surround it. It has been altered and expanded on a continuous basis from the 11th Century to the 18th Century. It is possible to take an official one hour guided tour of the building; unfortunately these are only given in French.
