The Prefecture Building is one of the largest and most imposing pieces of architecture in the town, taking into account there are two fine looking churches. These buildings are always well constructed and relatively grand in style partly to indicate the importance of a regional administrative hub, but also because the people of the town are keen to show off the importance of their community. This building is sometimes open to the public to view the interesting interior.
