The ‘fil de l’histoire’, literally translates as the ‘history line’, and that is exactly what it is. Starting at the local tourist information, close to the Old Port in the heart of historic Marseille, visitors can pick up an informative leaflet and then begin to follow the red line, which trails around some of the best attractions in the centre of the city. The walk takes about two hours at a gentle pace, and is a great way of familiarizing yourself with the city and what it has to offer.
