There are several boat tour companies that operate out of the large naval port of Toulon. This is probably because there is so much to see in the area, both at sea, and from the sea. This tour company specialises in taking passengers on tours of the Second World War port and has a commentary on some of the interesting and frightening events that took place there in the darkest days of Europe in the 1940s. Boats also go off to the beautiful Illes d’Hyres.
