This town is located quite close to Chablis, but it is obvious that it is not as wealthy as the affluent wine growing hub from the way that the houses are laid out. This building is probably the best known in the community, a charity hospital that was constructed in the late 13th Century by Margaret de Bourgogne. This woman was the sister in law of the world famous Saint Louis. Within the hospital building are some magnificent hallways and large rooms, one of which contains a huge 15th Century carving of Christ.
