Built at the request of Louis XVIII in 1815 this beautiful monument was constructed on the site of the burial of Marie Antionette and Louis XII after they were executed in Paris. Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine was the architect responsible for the building which shows signs of neo-Classical style. It is thought by many to be one of the great religious monuments of the city from the modern age.
