There has been a church on this site for almost a thousand years, one of the original constructions being a home to the Knight’s Templar. The current building was constructed in the 16th Century and is one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical facades in the city. Looking out to sea from the port area, the church and its congregation have always had a long and close connection with all things maritime. The pulpit of the church is designated an historic monument.
