A famous son of the area, the Richard Anacreon Museum is dedicated to the history of the community and is one of the best museums to browse through if you want to get a feeling for how people have lived in this area for many hundreds of years. It has collections of arts and crafts from local artists on display as well as maps and artefacts many of which are far more ancient than the beautiful building in which they have been permanently housed.
